Over the long weekend we are watching Zach's coworker's chocolate lab, Zoe. Her owner dropped her off last night and so far things have gone really well. Zoe is 11 years old so she is really calm and the worst that happens when she does get excited is she breathes really loud, which can actually get really annoying, really fast. I have to stop myself from time to time when I find myself wishing she would "stop breathing." I don't really wish she would die, I just wish she would breathe quieter.
Zoe came after Ryan went to sleep so they just met this morning. They seem to do well together. Mostly they just leave eachother alone. Zoe did enjoy cleaning up after Ryan's breakfast this morning and she slipped in one lick on the face, but other than that she seems unfazed by the new miniature human in her life.

Ryan likes to watch her when she is in the backyard. But his favorite thing about having a dog in the house is the fact that there is a bowl full of water just sitting on the floor. Perfect for splashing!
We've got a few things to learn before we get a dog of our own...

Ryan looks like he is "mid-bark" in that last photo. What a cute pup.
