This past week has been full of "lasts" for us. On Monday we went to our friend's house for a morning play date with her little boy who is just a couple months older than Brady. The boys loved playing with all of Liam's toys. At one point Ryan came up to Marisa and said, "Our house is tiny, but yours is BIIIG!" They live in a two bedroom apartment too. Haha. It's all relative.
Tuesday afternoon we went bowling for the LAST time in Arkansas. I forgot my socks- so just Ryan and Zach bowled. Zach worked a half day on Tuesday since he was catching a flight later that day to attend his grandpa's funeral in Indiana. It was awesome to go during the day when it wasn't crowded. It was all little kids and their moms or retired couples. Ryan bowled two spares! What a way to go out!
After dropping Zach at the airport I took the boys to Lake Atalanta for the LAST time to feed the ducks. They- the boys and the ducks- loved it. There were a lot of geese, some of which are taller than Brady, so I perched the boys up on the picnic table. It worked very nicely.
We walked around the perimeter of the lake for the LAST time and, of course, stopped to throw rocks in the water. While we were picking up rocks we came across the hugest hornet I have ever seen! Lucky for us it was dead. I would hate to have run into while it was still buzzing! It was probably the length of my thmb!
On Wednesday our good friends invited us over for a play date at their house for one LAST hooray. They have three boys- almost 5, 3 and almost 1. Ryan loves playing with them and they live in a legitimately huge house so we enjoyed the extra space too. Can you tell the walls of this little apartment have been closing in on us these last couple weeks?
We picked up Zach at the airport Wednesday night. His flight got in at about 9pm. The boys usually fall asleep when the sun is still up so it was a thrill for them to be out after dark. We got glow sticks for the drive to the airport and they were a hit! Ryan was fast asleep by the time we got there and stayed asleep until the next morning.
Thursday we went to our LAST story time at the library. The library has been such a bright spot in our summer adventure. I have loved participating in all their summer programs. It was literally right around the corner from our apartment and was such a great alternative to sweating it out in the heat. Rogers Public Library will always have a soft spot in my heart!
And that brings us to today! Today will be full of packing and light cleaning. (They told us not to worry about cleaning since they have a service come through after we leave that will just clean on top of our cleaning when we leave- best. news. ever.) We also have to drop our LAST books and dvds off at the library. We are hoping to get all packed and ready to go tonight so we can just wake up and go tomorrow morning. Here's to our LAST day in Arkansas! Utah here we come! :)

Enjoy the drive...maybe bubbles to make in the car in the daylight since the glow sticks were a hit at night? Be safe...I can hardly wait to hear how Roxy reunited with you all!!!!
The summer has gone by so quickly. Enjoy the last year of school, it goes just as fast!
What a wonderful summer Arkansas gave you!
At this point, I guess all there is to say is "welcome home" and have fun being a dog owner again!
